- New York State Civil Service Employees
- City of Watertown Employees
- Watertown City School District Employees
- Retirees of above employers
- Immediate family of current members
About Credit Unions
A credit union is similar to a bank, in that it provides financial services including savings, checking, loans, mortgages and more. However, there are a few key differences that provide exceptional benefits to credit union members:
- Cooperative – As a financial cooperative, the credit union is owned by the members. By maintaining a Prime Savings, each member has an “ownership share” in the cooperative and is entitled to one vote.
- Not-for-Profit – Instead of paying stockholders, earnings are returned to the members through lower fees, improved rates and enhancements in technology.
- Commonality – Credit unions are designed to serve members who share a common bond; such as location/community, social interest or employment.
